It is a pleasure to welcome you to the European Institute for Sustainability in Management (iESG). The iESG is a research institute formed by the Universities of AlmerÃa, Cádiz, Jaén, Granada, and Pablo de Olavide, aiming for excellence in research and the advancement of knowledge on the interrelations between sustainability and management. It was born as an exciting, internationally oriented project to raise awareness in society about the importance of specialized training, research, and innovation in sustainability-oriented management strategies and practices.
The iESG is structured as a strategic alliance composed of researchers from five Andalusian universities with well-established careers and complementary expertise in the analysis of organizational and business management in the areas of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) management. The fundamental premise behind its creation is the belief that the added value of the researchers’ combined knowledge and experience exceeds the mere sum of its individual parts. In this sense, collaboration and convergence among the members of this alliance not only foster the generation of innovative ideas but also promote pioneering solutions that serve as a benchmark for guiding organizational management toward more responsible and effective approaches.
